SBTi Commitment
Staycold is proud to announce our approval by Science Based Targets initiative of our commitment to reducing our scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 46% by 2023, based on a 2019 baseline. This commitment has been made in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global body that enables businesses to set ambitious emissions reduction targets in line with the latest climate science. The SBTi is focused on accelerating companies across the world to halve emissions before 2030 and achieve net zero emissions before 2050.
Staycold recognises the urgent need for action to limit global temperature rise to 1.5c. We are committed to making rapid and deep emission cuts to achieve our near-term target and aligning our stakeholders with climate science by encouraging them to commit to science-based 1.5c and net –zero targets as well. This achievement of having our targets approved by the SBTi is a significant accomplishment in the fight against climate change.
As an SME, we are proud to be taking this important step in addressing our impact on the environment.”
